In prova sul Gran Sasso

Tussio - 59 giorni al via
28/03/2007

In the test on Gran Sasso

The pale blue Giulietta is traveling on a container ship, well anchored in a box red amaranth. Celestina  will be our companion from Beijing to Paris. A wise transporter brought it from Seregno to Tussio, our village in Abruzzo, where we finished loading. Then, a full day of testing. We wanted to see if all the luggage was in place. We wanted to realize how it behaved in the climbs toward the Gran Sasso. Or on dirt roads. We had to see if the trip master is working correctly if the mechanic Alberto had arranged (where, how, and how many) all spare parts. Celestina showed us to bear weight and climbing. Sure, the 54 horses do not allow it to sprint in climbing. The engine continues to be quite noisy as it were eliminated all soundproofing material. But we have already bought headphones intercom to communicate between us and follow a bit of music in the steppe. We brought it in Genoa and it was placed in a 40-foot container next to the Fiat 1100 Cabriolet of Francesco Ciriminna. Together they will reach Tianjin, where they will be delivered us on May 25th. Two days later our adventure will start. Some more news: Rita will keep a logbook also on the international website of the Alfa Romeo, under the heading "Alfa & Woman". And probably at the end of the rally we will do together a book. Bookings are already open...
