Inca, il migliore

Cusco - Machu Picchu
18/10/2001

INCA THE BEST

Machu Picchu is a mysterious city, a holy place, and an eagle nest on the top of a mountain and all around other mountains, valleys and torrents down in the precipice. Machu Picchu is spectacular, fantastic; it lets you without breath (also for the steps you have to do…). We woke up 4.20 am and got bus first then train and bus again. After, you have to walk for a wile and as if by magic you see the entire ancient city in front of you. And it is fantastic. An English explorer found it in 1911: trees covered all ruins and tropical shrubs helped to keep that place secret for nearly 500 years. When conquistadors arrived everybody escape in the jungle. Inca Empire extended from Colombia to Argentina. They had skilled architects, astronomy, and medicals. All buildings are made with big stones that fit together perfectly. Stones have symmetric and corresponding corners (there is one stone with 32 corners). There are terraces, astronomic sundial and a large temples square. Vagabunda has a leaf spring broken but I have the spare. Now more than 50 percent of participants will not follow rally manses.
